Our battery storage projects are connected to the medium-voltage grid (20,000 volts) to ensure reliable and efficient local energy supply. These systems are designed as “two-hour storage units” and are used for system services such as primary control reserve, as well as for optimisation on the spot market and the reduction of grid fees. The implementation of such projects is essential for the sustainable and cost-effective use of renewable energy.
Our high-voltage projects are characterised by a significantly larger land requirement and require connection to high-voltage lines. For these large-scale battery storage projects, the construction of a dedicated substation is necessary to ensure connection to the high-voltage grid. Due to the extensive infrastructure measures involved, the implementation period for high-voltage projects is considerably longer. These projects make a crucial contribution to the stability and efficiency of the regional power grid and support the sustainable integration of renewable energy.
