Integrating renewable energy reliably into the power grid
Large-scale battery storage systems optimise the integration of renewable energy into the power grid while simultaneously stabilising it. In doing so, they make a vital contribution to the climate targets and the associated energy policy of the Federal Government. We develop large-scale battery storage projects at various sites across Germany, thereby supporting security of energy supply.

What role do large-scale battery storage systems play?
With the expansion of non-dispatchable renewable energy sources, fluctuations in the power grid are increasing. Grid stability in distribution networks is therefore of critical importance. Battery storage systems balance fluctuations in the grid, reduce peak loads, and store energy from surplus renewable generation. Thanks to their rapid response capability, battery storage systems can also provide balancing power.

We are looking for new sites for our projects
Together with municipalities and our business partners, we aim to contribute to improving system and supply security as well as supporting the energy markets in Germany.
For this purpose, we are continuously looking for suitable sites.
