Lar­ge-sca­le bat­tery sto­rage sys­tems opti­mi­se the inte­gra­ti­on of rene­wa­ble ener­gy into the power grid while simul­ta­neous­ly sta­bi­li­sing it. In doing so, they make a key con­tri­bu­ti­on to achie­ving the cli­ma­te tar­gets and the asso­cia­ted ener­gy poli­cy of the Fede­ral Govern­ment. We deve­lop lar­ge-sca­le bat­tery sto­rage pro­jects at various loca­ti­ons in Ger­ma­ny, ther­eby streng­thening secu­ri­ty of ener­gy sup­p­ly.

Site deve­lo­p­ment

As an expe­ri­en­ced engi­nee­ring firm, we deve­lop lar­ge-sca­le ener­gy sto­rage sys­tems on com­mer­cial, ara­ble, and pas­tu­re land. We tail­or our instal­la­ti­ons to the spe­ci­fic local con­di­ti­ons and inte­gra­te them seam­less­ly into the land­scape. In this way, we crea­te sus­tainable solu­ti­ons that are both eco­lo­gi­cal­ly and eco­no­mic­al­ly sound.

Grid con­nec­tion design

In grid con­nec­tion design, we inte­gra­te our ener­gy sto­rage sys­tems into the grid in com­pli­ance with regu­la­ti­ons and in a cost-effi­ci­ent man­ner. We defi­ne the point of inter­con­nec­tion, trans­for­mer level, and cable rou­tes, dimen­si­on medi­um- and high-vol­ta­ge equip­ment as well as pro­tec­tion and con­trol sys­tems, and inte­gra­te meter­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on. Load flow and short-cir­cuit stu­dies, along with com­pli­ance with DIN-VDE-AR‑N 4110/4120/4130, are car­ri­ed out in clo­se coor­di­na­ti­on with DSOs/TSOs – ensu­ring a tech­ni­cal­ly sound grid con­nec­tion.

Plan­ning and per­mit­ting

Our sto­rage faci­li­ties are pri­vi­le­ged under § 35 BauGB for con­s­truc­tion in desi­gna­ted out­door are­as. Working in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with muni­ci­pa­li­ties and with due regard for the local envi­ron­ment, we deve­lop sto­rage sys­tems that pro­tect natu­re and use it sus­tain­ab­ly. Tog­e­ther with land­scape plan­ners, we design com­pen­sa­ti­on and miti­ga­ti­on mea­su­res to ensu­re that the sto­rage faci­li­ties blend seam­less­ly into the local sur­roun­dings and do not dis­rupt the land­scape. Our aim is to rea­li­se pro­jects that not only con­tri­bu­te to ener­gy secu­ri­ty but also enhan­ce envi­ron­men­tal value and pre­ser­ve the cha­rac­ter of the regi­on.

Con­s­truc­tion super­vi­si­on and con­sul­ting

Our engi­nee­ring firm spe­cia­li­ses in the deve­lo­p­ment of grid-sup­port­ing ener­gy sto­rage sys­tems and ensu­res the inte­gra­ti­on of tech­no­lo­gies from dif­fe­rent manu­fac­tu­r­ers. In doing so, we take tech­ni­cal, eco­no­mic, and regu­la­to­ry aspects into account to gua­ran­tee a relia­ble ener­gy sup­p­ly.
